Thousands of People Join Healthy Walk During Car Free Day

As many as 1,700 people joined the healthy walk event held by the Jakarta Nutritionist Association (Persagi) during Car Free Day along Jalan Sudirman - MH Thamrin area, on Sunday (1/26). It is held to commemorate the 60th National Nutrition Day, which falls on Saturday (1/25).

This is part of an important momentum in raising mutual concern to build a healthy and outstanding nation

Jakarta Persagi Chairwoman Agustina it was held with the aim of increasing knowledge to the community, especially millennial generation about health and fulfillment of optimal nutrition.

Citizens Encouraged to Maintain Healthy Living Behavior

Meanwhile, Jakarta Health Agency's Community Health Division Head Fifi Mulyani added the event was enlivened with joint exercises, health checks and nutritional status to the nutrition counseling parade. The healthy walk routes took from the front of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) to the HI Roundabout.

"It is expected to be able to accelerate the achievement of the 2020 national medium-term development plan in the health sector," she hoped.
